I understand owners manual reluctance. But it is like this I would want to know all about my $40,000 car. But I am a Nissan technician. I would look in section #9 page #2 and page #5 However check with your dealership because Your motor will live longer with Nissan recommended 5-30wt. Special Estoril Synthetic motor oil. Regular oil like Certified by American Petroleum Institute 5-30wt. API-SM energy conserving oil will work if changed every 3,500 miles or so. 7,500 is just to far between regular oil oil changes. Also aftermarket oil filters are not exactly like the Nissan filters. Lately I have replaced several aftermarket filters that were making noise because the check valve in the filter failed.
